HOW WILL YOUR BOX ARRIVE?

When you receive your Flaming Gourmand order, it will arrive in one of our cardboard boxes made from recyclable material.

Once you open your meat box you will find a wool pouch. The wool pouch is clever stuff, it keeps the meat cold during transportation. Made from 100% natural, sustainably sourced wool. You will also find an ice pack in your meat box too.

HOW WILL OUR MEAT ITEMS BE PACKAGED?

We freeze every piece of meat at the optimum moment.

We individually wrap each portion so you can take what you need, when you need it and leave the rest for another day.

Each individual portion package is stored in an outer wrap where you’ll find details of the product, the best before date and any ingredients.

INFORMATION ON PACKAGING

CARDBOARD BOX

Our cardboard boxes are biodegradable, and 100% recyclable. Our boxes are made from a material that is:

  • FSC certified
  • Sustainably sourced
  • Made from recycled materials
  • 100% biodegradable

Once you have finished using your box it can be recycled or composted.

WOOL POUCH

Our pouches are made from all natural, 100% sheep’s wool, housed inside a recyclable polyethylene.

The responsibly sourced wool is 100% biodegradable. This means that once you have used and loved the wool pouch it can be placed in the compost where it will naturally break down and release a whole host of lovely nutrients such as nitrogen which can fertilise your plants.

Even if our wool ends up on a landfill, it will still naturally biodegrade within 6-12 months.

All our wool pouches are:

  • Ethically and sustainably sourced
  • Made from a natural byproduct
  • Our wool pouches can be recycled or composted.
